This is the second part of my project discovering destroyed pieces of our culture. This one building was first the house of ukrainian artist Tarnovsky, after his death became a museum of Ukrainian Antiquities according to his last will. Later there was Chernihiv History Museum. From 1978 year - Chernihiv Library for Youth.
As many other libraries, it included other structures - language club, eco club, from 2018 - Library Art Center. I regret I didn't visit it before. But I'm happy such beautiful library existed, and it's great-looking gothic building survived two World Wars.
Some minor fortune is that building isn't completely destroyed. Maybe it can be reconstructed in future.
